Aurelia
Aurelia sets a cascade of gilded florals across black satin, the beadwork falling diagonally from the bust to the hip in a single unbroken line. The silhouette stays close to the body through a fitted mermaid skirt. Gold is used sparingly here, which is exactly why it holds the eye.

THE STORY
The Story of Aurelia
Gold, used well, is not about more. Aurelia proves the point with a single line of gilded embroidery, drawn once across the body from shoulder to hip and left to do all the work alone. Everything else stays in black, in shadow, in restraint, so that one line can catch every bit of light in the room. It is the gown for a woman who has never needed a second one to make her point.
